Remember when we said that LG was working on a Windows Phone 7 Series device? Well, sure enough, that's been confirmed. And not by some lame press release, either. Nope, this time around we've got Aaron Woodman showing off LG's phone proper. Right on camera.
At the latest Engadget Show, Woodman brought out the device while discussing Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform. According to the guys at Engadget, the phone is only slightly thicker than the iPhone or Nexus One; there are dedicated hardware keys for the camera, volume, and power (along with the Microsoft-dictated Search, Back, and Home keys); and there's a 5MP camera with a flash on the back. Now, this is just an early prototype. While there's a video, it doesn't show much except the hardware. Also, it should be noted that while this is the first "real" device to be "announced," it's definitely fitting into that second chassis design, which means it might not have the full WP7 experience. Or, it could, all brought together with a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard. [via Engadget] |
